Adapt Monitor for Lighting!

Download(click the image and save) the image andView this image on your monitor, make sure that you can read all of the numbers along the top and bottom.!If not adjust your monitor visual properties.
Tips-If you are ever creating printed output, then the most accurate way to calibrate your monitor is to print a test image first, and then adjust your monitor to match the printer's output.
Even a well-calibrated monitor may shift its appearance during the first hour or two after being turned on. At many studios, monitors are left on continuously instead of being turned off over night, so that the calibration will not be lost in the morning.
As a general rule, conventional CRT monitors are capable of a greater range of contrast and more accurate colors than a flat LCD monitor
Working in a room with sunlight coming in through a window, or too bright a light from the ceiling lights or lamps, can limit your perception of the scene you are trying to light. Before you begin lighting a scene, turn your office lights down or off, and make sure there is no screen glare or reflections visible on your monitor.
